How we measure

Every number on JobsVista is defined, time-boxed, and based on real applicant outcomes. Here is exactly how each one is calculated — and what we show when there isn't enough data yet.

Response Rate

% of applicants who received a recruiter reply within 14 days.

We only count applications old enough to have had the full 14-day reply window (the “matured cohort”), so very recent applications never unfairly lower the rate.

Definitionreplied ÷ matured applications
Reply window (SLA)14 days
Job-level window90 days
Company-level window90 days

Average Reply Time

The median time to a recruiter's first reply.

We use the median (not the mean) so a few very slow or very fast replies don't distort the typical experience.

Confidence Tiers

We never show a precise percentage unless there is enough data to support it, and we never invent data that doesn't exist.

Verification

What “Verified” means.

  • Verified Employer: a registered business (CIN/GST) with confirmed identity.
  • Verified Recruiter: identity plus a confirmed corporate email domain.
  • Verified Job: posted by a verified recruiter at a verified company, while the role is open.

Employer Badges

Badges are earned against published thresholds and re-evaluated every 30 days.

Verified EmployerBusiness + identity verified
Responsive Employer≥ 85% response · ≥ 20 applications · ≤ 4-day median reply
Fast Hiring≤ 14-day median time-to-hire · ≥ 3 hires

A badge is removed if a company stays below its threshold past a 30-day grace period.

Recruiter Activity

“Recruiter active” reflects the recruiter's last action on JobsVista. A recruiter is considered active if seen within the last 7 days.
